Nonfiction work & Screenings
In addition to my narrative videos, there are also a number of music videos, as well as nonfiction videos I’ve done, floating around the web on various sites. Here are links to some of my documentary work:
"UFOs and the Origin of Man": Author Kenyatta DaCosta typically does a talk at my annual “UFO Day” summer event, for cast members and friends. I caught the start of his talk on film in 2010. Early work made with a typical home video camera. "Interview with actor James Greco": Actor James Greco answers questions from Del Rivers in a diner, while Jim Wyand looks on. The boys from Quadruple A were running camera on this one. Early work made with a typical home video camera. "The Band 10,000 Maniacs": I interviewed and profiled the band as they toured their 2013 album "Music From The Motion Picture". "Mary Ramsey", lead singer of 10,000 Maniacs: A video companion to my profile of the band 10,000 Maniacs. "Del Rivers: The Documentary": A documentary dedicated to actor/lyricist/sketch comic Del River's musical output. Live screenings of films: The film “The Blind Neighbor” debuted on July 25th, 2011 at Rochester's Little Theater's “Emerging Filmmakers Series”. There was a screening of tons of my work in the Sodock Town Hall's meeting room on March 26th, 2012. It was my first retrospective more or less, but also included the debut of three new films. For people who missed the screening but wished they could have been there, here's a special version of an early film ("The Blind Neighbor") that includes the audio of the audience in Sodock reacting to the film. The film "The Norm Karsh Profile" played at Rochester’s Little Theater on Wednesday, July 25th, 2012 and Saturday, July 28th, 2012 as part of their "Filmmakers Quarterly" series. The film "The Fudge Club Profile" debuted on June 8th, 2013 at the South Presbyterian Church in Rochester. An early cut of the film "The Astronaut Upstairs" screened for cast and crew In Sodock Town Hall on June 22nd, 2015, along with a variety of short films. My spoken intro was filmed and is being integrated in future cuts of the film. The film "Damned Lemonade" was accepted into the 2018 Chautauqua International Film Fest. It played on Sunday, July 29th, 2018, where it was awarded “Best Comedy Short”. |
